Kathmandu: President Bidhya Devi Bhandari has issued six ordinances today.

On the recommendation of the cabinet, President Bhandari has issued ordinances amending some Acts against Sexual Violence, Ordinances amending some Acts related to Criminal Offenses and Criminal Procedure, Nepal Police and State Police (Operation, Supervision and Coordination)Ordinance.

She has also issued acid and other hazardous chemicals (regulation) ordinance, social security (first amendment) ordinance and railway ordinance.

These ordinances brought by the then KP Sharma Oli-led government were deactivated when Parliament did not approve them. The ordinance was brought when the parliament is not functioning again.
