Kathmandu: Popular Nepali singer Prakash Saput has announced a new Teej song titled Nai Bhanesi Nai, set to continue his tradition of addressing social issues through music.

The announcement was made Saturday via a promotional poster shared on Saput’s official Facebook page. The upcoming release, under the banner of Galbandi Production, also features singers Samikshya Adhikari and Eleena Chauhan.

While an official release date has not yet been confirmed, the title and visuals of the poster suggest that the song will focus on gender-based violence—an issue Saput has frequently explored in his work.

Quoting a message from a well-wisher, Saput reflected on the importance of staying true to one’s artistic roots, hinting at a return to his musical and narrative origins. “Spreading branches is good, but one must stay connected to the roots,” he wrote in the post.

Saput’s previous Teej songs have drawn wide attention for blending folk traditions with bold social commentary. Nai Bhanesi Nai is expected to follow in the same vein, offering a strong message during the upcoming Teej festival.
