Kathmandu: Sushma Tamang has won first ever silver in Asian Boxing Championship.

In the U-22 Asian Boxing Championship, Nepalese athlete Tamang was defeated in the final.

Although she won the silver, her achievement is the biggest for Nepali boxing so far.

This is the first time that Nepal has won silver in the recognized competition of the Asian Boxing Confederation.

Sushma was defeated by Fojilova Farzona of Uzbekistan in the final competition of 48 kg weight group held on Wednesday.
