Kathmandu: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) has launched the ‘Hello Home Ministry Grievance Hearing Unit’ to enhance the resolution process for grievances related to services provided by the ministry and its subordinate bodies.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the MoHA reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining peace, controlling crime, and ensuring the effective implementation of laws for good governance. The ministry also highlighted its ongoing efforts to address citizens’ grievances, queries, and suggestions through various channels.

Home Ministry Spokesperson Rishiram Tiwari explained that the newly established grievance handling unit aims to make the complaint resolution process more effective. He stated that service recipients can now lodge complaints related to services provided by the ministry or its subordinate bodies directly with the head of the respective body or the departmental chief.

The grievance unit will allow complaints to be submitted through multiple means, ensuring that they are addressed on a priority basis. Issues will be resolved with the involvement of the respective body’s head, departmental chief, or the chief district officer.

Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak emphasized the importance of the grievance unit in further streamlining the services provided by the ministry and its subordinate agencies, ensuring quicker and more efficient resolution of public concerns.
