Internet service interrupt in Pokhara

vishwa-news

Kathmandu: Internet Service Providers’ Association of Nepal (ISPAN) has said that the internet service in Pokhara has been interuppted as Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) cut off the electricity at the main ‘operation center’ of internet service providers.

ISPAN alleges that the Electricity Authority has violated essential services laws and human rights.

ISPAN claims that even though the authority tried to provide service through alternative means after disconnecting the electricity, it was not possible.

NEA has cutoff internet service provider’s electricity citing they have failed to pay their electricity bill.
