Calibration flight begins at Pokhara International Airport

Kathmandu: The calibration flight has started from Monday to test the capability of the Pokhara International Airport. For this purpose, Aero Thai’s aircraft has already reached Pokhara on Saturday.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal has approved the schedule for mechanical test flight of Pokhara Regional International Airport from 21st November to 27th November.

The government has already decided to start commercial flights at Pokhara International Airport from January 1, 2023. There should be tests before that.

According to the authority, the calibration flight is a detailed mechanical test flight. After this is completed, the flying company submits the report. Based on the same report, a test flight will be conducting at the new airport.

After the successful test flight report, the companies get permission for international commercial flights at the airport.
